Oh God.

Wedding photos are supposed to be a pleasing way to recall the moments of a very, very special day, but unfortunately for newlywed Jaclyn Ying, the autofocus in her photo album was set to "absolute shit".

In a trending Facebook post, Ying explains that she and her husband got the pitifully short end of the stick when they went with a photographer who came together in a package by a "pretty reputable bridal shop". They signed on after reviewing some photos from past projects, thinking "how bad it could possibly be?".

How bad did they turn out to be? According to Ying, it's "first-date-and-you-clog-the-toilet-with-your-pangsai bad". Or even worse, " trust-a-fart-and-a-bit-of-poop-comes-out bad."

Boutique internet service provider ViewQwest is doing a boutique fix-up over connection issues that they say will take a week before services resume normally.

According to them, some customers under their Ang Mo Kio Exchange circuit have been experiencing problems connecting to the internet since last Thursday morning due to a hardware component failure in their equipment.

Even though a manual migration of all affected connections was carried out, stability was compromised and they've decided to migrate all customers onto entirely new set of equipment.

"As this is a new set of equipment, we will need to replace the ONT/modem of all affected customers and will be arranging on-site visits," they wrote in a Facebook post. "We expect all replacements to be completed by the end of this week."

Singapore Airlines hires female pilots for the first time ever

Props to Singapore Airlines for finally getting on board with hiring women to fly its planes. Everyone else has already done it, including SilkAir and Scoot, making SIA the last Singapore passenger carrier to get with the times. It's also quite possibly the last major global airline to hire female pilots — even budget ones like Jetstar Asia and Tigerair have beat it to the punch. 'Bout time, guys.

The two ladies responsible for this monumental shift joined the SIA intake of cadet pilots last August, and will train in Singapore and Australia for two to three years before being scheduled for commercial flights. As of yet, there's no target for the number of female hires to be added to the airline's current population of 2,000 pilots.

An anti-crime blitz across Chinatown, Little India, Lavender Street, Jalan Sultan and Coleman Street over the past few months managed to uproot 13 unlicensed massage parlours — who may or may not be providing less than savoury services behind their doors.

The operations against massage establishments were led by police officers from Central Division, seeking out the ones that were flouting regulations by operating without a valid licence.

If convicted, they'll each be fined up to $1,000 and a further fine of up to $50 for each day they operate after conviction.

Surf the web for free when you hop on any of the two SMRT service 176 buses. Yes, only two public buses on our entire island offer free Wi-Fi, thanks to the Wireless @ SG hotspot. The vehicles, which take the route from Bukit Panjang to Bukit Merah, are set to provide the service by the end of this month.

To save on data, simply identify the buses by a blue livery on the exterior and signs on board. Even better if you're an M1 customer — you get to connect to the private M1 Wi-Fi service for higher download and upload speeds.

More street felines across Singapore will be getting their left ears tipped when the Stray Cat Sterilisation Programme gets expanded to cover more areas, according to Minister of State for National Development Dr. Koh Poh Koon.

The Government hopes to sterilise 20,000 more stray cats when the programme gets expanded to cover industrial and commercial areas, as well as private estates.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and the Cat Welfare Society will continue working with the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) in the sterilisation and micro-chipping of stray cats in HDB estates and beyond.

Speaking of which, what happened to the charged Yishun cat abusers

Tulipmania at Gardens by the Bay features more than 35,000 blooms this year

Tulipmania is back, which means Gardens by the Bay has been flooded by tulips of all shapes and forms. Picture this: 35,000 blooms in 60 varieties spread out across the air-conditioned dome, in bright shades of orange, pink, yellow and more. It's the perfect flower field for all your photo backdrops. Alternatively, you could always re-enact one of those cheesy '90s running-through-the-meadows music videos — except here you'll probably end up darting in and out of the crowds along the side of the field. Close enough.

In the quest for supremacy in the telecommunications market, StarHub has gone beyond the call of duty and achieved the world's fastest 4G speeds indoors — a blazing 1Gbps.

Together with Chinese information and communications technology firm Huawei, they've managed to hit speeds that triple whatever's available in Singapore today.

Too bad the current tech on any phone in the market right now isn't capable of connecting at 1Gbps. StarHub, however, mentioned that they plan to deploy the service to consumers as soon as compatible phones are available in Singapore — which could be next year, TODAY reports.

Electric personal mobility devices allowed on footpaths — but it comes with stiffer penalties

Good news for enthusiasts of electric scooters, unicycles, hoverboards and other personal mobility devices (PMD) — the government has accepted proposals for them to be allowed on footpaths.

The bad news is that there'll be heavier penalties, strict enforcement patrols and mandatory registrations for all PMD users.

Senior Minister of State for Transport Josephine Teo announced in Parliament that the Land Transport Authority (LTA) will set up a dedicated enforcement team that'll join the Traffic Police in patrolling PMT hotspots. Shared footpaths, crowded bus stops, parks and cycling paths will see officers using speed guns to identify those going way too fast to travel alongside pedestrians.

Amidst rising global concern against drivers operating under third party ride-booking apps, Singapore has taken a step towards regulating them here.

"With the growth of apps like Uber and Grab, some basic regulations are needed to ensure that the commuters' interests, particularly safety, are taken care of," said Senior Minister of State for Transport Ng Chee Meng in Parliament today.

As such, a new regulatory framework for private hire car drivers will be implemented come 2017 — ensuring that these drivers undergo sufficient training on safety and regulations for providing chauffeuring services.

The rules of regulations to earn that coveted Private Hire Car Driver Vocational Licence (PDVL) is pretty hefty (and might turn off some potential Uber and Grab drivers). Applicants must:

Here's a toast to new friends and good food — Secret Sauce is a three-course travelling dinner party popping up in the Tiong Bahru neighbourhood this month. The concept is simple: You host two other couples in your home (or any kind of dining space in the area) for one course, and the rest will take turns hosting the group for the remaining two courses.

Sign-ups are free — just throw in your names as a team of two and state where you'll be hosting one of the three courses. Even if you can't cook, there's always takeaway or even, um, ready-made meals. As you can tell, it's a pretty casual event.

How would you like to see some of Singapore's national monuments interpreted as artistic 3D photographs? In Sight — A Monumental 3D Journey displays the work of Italian photographer Alberto Fanelli at the Raffles Hotel Shopping Arcade to present one such exhibition, held in conjunction with this year's Singapore HeritageFest.

As you stroll through the exhibit, put on the provided anaglyph 3D glasses to view each intricate design up close. The selection ranges from schools and medical institutions to places of worship and former government buildings. Noteworthy ones include the Yueh Hai Ching Temple and its restored roof ornamentations, and the interior of Maghain Aboth Synagogue, which is hardly ever opened to the public, as well as the former St Joseph's Institution and the former Supreme Court.

An accident between two taxis near Bugis+ mall last night saw one of them careening straight into a shop that was undergoing renovation.

Unfortunately, a construction worker suffered minor injuries in the crash that transpired at about 10.55pm. The Singapore Civil Defence Force dispatched an ambulance to the scene and conveyed the man to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for treatment.

According to Channel NewsAsia, the area has since been certified safe by an independent professional engineer. The mall's management is assisting the authorities with their investigations.

Current levels in Singapore's main water source drop to historic low due to dry weather

Built in 1994, the Linggiu Reservoir in Johor supplies about half of our nation's water needs. Singapore takes 250 million gallons of its water per day, more than half of our country's total of 430 million. Last October, the lowest water level recorded was 41 percent, but now it's fallen even further to 36.9 percent — a new historic low.

Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli stated that the recent dry spell was the cause of the decrease from 80 percent at the beginning of 2015 to present levels, The Straits Times reported. But, because of Singapore's diverse water resources, the impact of lower water levels in the Malaysian reservoir has been lessened.

Woman who passed herself off as a man acquitted of sexual assault on underage girl

In a very strange outcome in a case of sexual assault, a woman — who had passed off as an Indonesian man since she was 16 — had all her charges of sexual penetration thrown out of court.

Why? Because she didn't have a penis — thus she did not qualify to be convicted of rape, under the law.

39-year-old Zunika Ahmad turned up in court yesterday expecting to be sentenced for the crime after pleading guilty to six charges of sexually penetrating an underage girl using a sex toy and her fingers, Channel NewsAsia reports.

Over 40,000 rat burrows found last year, most of them in housing estates

We have a rat problem. About 43,000 rat burrows were discovered in 2015, up 1,000 from the year before. And over the last two years, 85 percent of those were located in housing estates. So the National Environment Agency is clamping down on the growing rodent population with tighter enforcements for breaches in areas managed by town councils, Channel NewsAsia reported.

Granted, it's a challenge to control this infestation due to the numerous food stalls and rubbish bins in housing estates. But the important thing is to get rid of their food sources and maintain good housekeeping of refuse chutes.

Aw man, now we feel kinda sorry for laughing at his expense.

Goh Chung Siew — the lensman behind all those hilariously dreadful wedding photos— has apologised to the newlyweds for all his bad shots and edits.

The aforementioned pictures have gone absolutely viral over the past few days, thanks to Jaclyn Ying. The batch of photos were uploaded on Facebook two days ago, showcasing the exceptionally bad highlights in her wedding photo album, starring unfocused and blurry shots, odd angles and hurr-durr faces.
