TPG Telecom will become Singapore's fourth and newest mobile operator — after its successful bid of $105 million for the spectrum needed to launch mobile services here — announced the Infocomm Media Development Authority today. It beat out competitor MyRepublic.
The spectrum rights will start in April next year, and the new mobile network operator will be allowed a 'reasonable period' of time for it to build its network, according to Channel NewsAsia. It will have to achieve nationwide outdoor service coverage by October 2018.
