61% of Singaporeans work for a companies that are actively supportive of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, according to the latest Ranstad Workmonitor survey entitled Healthy employees perform better.
36% of respondents say their companies allow them to work out or play sports during office hours, while 42% claim their companies offer in-house gym facilities, or at least a discount to an external gym or sports facility.
When it comes to eating right, 48% of Singaporeans say their companies promote healthy food, in the company restaurant for instance.
While an overwhelming proportion of Singaporeans (93%) feel that a good work-life balance is the top priority for a healthy lifestyle, most (90%) believe that it is the individual's responsibility to keep fit, not the employer's.
The study was conducted online with a sample size of 5,265 Singaporeans aged 18 — 65, working a minimum of 24 hours a week in a paid job.
The Randstad Workmonitor is a quarterly survey that provides insight into local and global trends in mobility, job satisfaction and motivation in 32 countries worldwide.
