When the titan-unleashing period of alignment of five planets ends after February, star gazers can look forward to another major astronomical event: a partial solar eclipse.

Come March 9, the cosmic spectacle will feature nearly 90 percent of the sun being obscured by the moon during maximum eclipse, reports TODAY. The eclipse itself will be visible from anywhere in Singapore according to the Singapore Science Centre, and will begin around 7.22am. Maximum eclipse will take place at 8.23am (where the sky will be similar to evening brightness) and the eclipse will end at 9.33am.
