This super-cheap and super-fast shuttle service between Singapore and Johor Bahru finally launched yesterday, with tickets selling out like hotcakes. The Shuttle Tebrau ferries passengers across borders in just five minutes - the time it also takes for peak hour train tickets to be sold out. Tickets for the first two train services leaving JB Sentral yesterday - at 5.30am and 7am - were sold out, The Straits Times reports. There are a total of 14 trips daily; seven from Johor and seven from Woodlands, with each trip shuttling about 320 passengers. Commuters were pleased with this new service, but added that train timings and ticket prices could be better. A 62-year-old passenger, who only wanted to be known as Mr Lee, said that train timings should allow for more time to pick up passengers who are changing trains. Some also complained that the $5 train ticket was expensive compared to the bus ticket which cost just $2. It's a dilemma: pay $3 more or endure a 2-hour-long jam?  Photo: My Train Pix via Flickr    Done reading? Sit back, relax and watch Coconuts TV:   brightcove.createExperiences();
