After putting on a superbly sick set at an abandoned swimming pool complex earlier this year, L.A. beat-meister Jennifer Lee aka Tokimonsta will be back once again to bring her left-field hip hop beats to life, this time at a venue that's a bit more familiar and a lot less haunted.
The second edition of Moonbeats Asia's The Deep End series will see the return of the electronic darling to our shores in her debut at Velvet Underground. With acclaim coming in from all over, praising her big-hitting progressive take on hip-hop and downtempo tunes — and it's no surprise that she's become the one of the top female producers in the L.A. music scene.
Tokimonsta hits Velvet Underground on July 11 with resident DJ Zushan as special guest. Cover charge goes at $28 and $33; more details on the Facebook event page.
