Malaysian silat fighter scores gold medal in SEA Games after getting kneed in the nutsWith a fighting style meant to break both rules and bones, the ancient martial art of Silat has been widely known to be one of the most deadliest in the world.  Another lethal art that has been practiced universally since the dawn of man would be the art of a swift kick to the balls.  Malaysian silat exponent Muhammad Faizul learnt this the hard way yesterday when he faced off Thailand's Nanthachai Khansakon for the gold medal in the final of the Putra B (50-56kg) category at the 28th SEA Games here.  The second round was duly cut short when Nanthachai's innate Muay Thai instincts burst forth when he unleashed a devastating knee to Faizul's groin, sending the Malaysian down and out on the mat, probably regretting waking up that day.  He should be happy though after taking that gratuitous strike to his manhood — he got the Gold after Nanthachai was disqualified for the low blow.  It seems that Faizul just couldn't get a break — his previous fight saw his left eye being struck by Vietnam's Duy Phuong Vo, forcing him to be stretchered out (and also advancing to the finals).
