This car must have been craving for some Italian yesterday when it bulldozed its way into a trattoria along Club Street.
A silver Toyota reversed from the opposite side of the road across Senso Ristorante & Bar, colliding into the back of a taxi and straight into the establishment's bar room.
Speaking to The Straits Times, the restaurants's owner estimated that the damages to the restaurant could be at least $17,000, including the cost of the damaged furniture and repairs.
The car damaged the restaurant's furniture and the glass windows of the bar room, which will take about a week to repair.
Even though around 100 patrons were having lunch in the restaurant during the accident, no one was reported hurt.
Business will go on as usual at Senso Ristorante & Bar — just ignore that gaping hole that used to be a charming glass window.
