A cyclist met an unfortunate and grisly end last Friday evening when a tipper truck crushed the man in an accident.
The 58-year-old cyclist was found dead at the entrance of a construction site in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5, The New Paper reports. Another cyclist who arrived at the scene just after the accident occurred witnessed the gruesome scene, where tipper truck is believed to have reversed into the man, crushing the lower half of the man's body. He was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
The 38-year-old male truck driver was arrested for causing death by negligence.
