Cars of up to 1600 CC end up with COE prices of $67,749 while cars above that weight closed at $76,612 — making it a very, very costly exercise to purchase and own cars here.
Those thinking of cheaper options with two wheelers will be sad to know that motorcycle premiums have set a new record at $6,312, and thats just for the COE itself.
Motorists in Singapore are required to own COEs, which grant legal rights of the holder to register, own and use a vehicle in Singapore for a period of 10 years. When demand is high, the cost of COE often exceed the value of the vehicles itself.
