Got a tip? Send it to us at singapore@coconuts.co.  Dear bloggers and other social media divas, it's time to act like professional adults. The Advertising Standards Authority of Singapore is now working with industry players — including dirty tactics social media agency Gushcloud — on a set of ethical guidelines that you, the country's "influencers", will need to adhere to next time you write a post about a product or service."There will also be an ethics assessment checklist for influencers, advertisers and agencies and a detailed description on how to write disclosures for advertiser relationships," reports Rezwana Manjur on Marketing Interactive. Gushcloud founder Vincent Ha confirms that it will form a council of advisors. “The guidance would include establishment of clear internal operating standards, along with operational ethos,” he is quoted in the report. But not everyone is thrilled with Gushcloud's participation. Nuffnang's Yang Hui Wen says they are “wary of the effectiveness of Gushcloud’s participation in the discussion”.  We'll see about that.
