![State Funeral Procession for late Lee Kuan Yew to stretch 15.4km, pass by landmarks and heartlands]()
This Sunday, on the final day of the National Mourning period, the State Funeral for the late Lee Kuan Yew will be take place as Singapore bids its final farewell to the nation's founding Prime Minister.
Commencing at 12.30pm, the 15.4km State Funeral Procession will begin from Parliament House — where Lee's body is currently lying in state — and will pass significant landmarks including City Hall, the Padang, the Singapore River before passing through the heartlands of Bukit Merah, Queenstown and Commonwealth before stopping at the National University of Singapore's University Cultural Centre.
Members of the public are allowed to line the route from Parliament House to the University Cultural Centre.
The funeral service itself will be attended by member's of the Lee family, the President of Singapore, various Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, and a long list of foreign leaders including former US president Bill Clinton, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, former US Secretary of State (and close friend of Lee) Henry Kissinger, and more.
Ten eulogies will be delivered by the likes of Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, former journalist Cassandra Chew, President Tony Tan and current Prime Minister and son Lee Hsien Loong.
The whole thing will be broadcasted live on television and online by Channel NewsAsia.
