Most of the litter consisted of empty water bottles, plastic wrappers and miscellaneous trash, most of which are dumped on the ground near the overflowing bins.
Cleaners speaking to TODAY reported working around the clock since the start of their shifts, with breaks far and few in between. The situation is exacerbated by the free drinks and snacks distributed to the people in line by various companies and volunteers.
Definitely not what the late Lee had envisioned for a clean and green city.
