45-year-old frotteur Ch'ng Cheng Ho pleaded guilty last month to using criminal force on a 29-year-old woman while riding on SBS bus service 77 in 2012, The Straits Times reports.
The former primary school teacher had stood beside the victim on the bus, who was sitting down. Ch'ng then started to press and rub his groin against her left shoulder for an agonising five minutes. The victim tried to move away but he just kept moving closer.
The victim's husband — who was riding on the same bus as her — detained Ch'ng and called the police on him.
In mitigation, Ch'ng's lawyer stated that he was suffering from depression and was struggling with frotteurism. He had admitted himself to the Institute of Mental Health and is going for regular treatment.
