Les Amis, which ranked 13 in this year's Asia 50 Best Restaurants list, will close starting Sunday for renovations.
The 21-year-old French fine dining restaurant will reopen only on April 16 with new additions to its 1,340 sq. ft. kitchen, including a customised Charvet stove-top island imported from France and designed by executive chef Sebastien Lepinoy, according to The Straits Times (ST).
ST reports that Les Amis will also be replacing its refrigeration and storage units, increasing its seating capacity from 76 to 100, moving its white wine cellar to the first level so more tables can be set up on the mezzanine level, and upping the number of dining rooms from four to six.
Its furnishings will also be overhauled.
