Thai national Praphutta Sukanya appeared in court yesterday and was charged with the murder of Lee Yang Boo at a flat in North Bridge Road, which transpired last Sunday.
On the wee hours of Mar 1, police were informed that a 55-year-old man suffered a fall at a unit located at Block 8 along North Bridge Road. He was pronounced dead less than two hours later at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Upon investigations, his fall wasn't what it seemed.
Sukanya, 41, was arrested on the same day in connection to the man's death.
According to various reports, she appeared to be skittish throughout the hearing and had her charges read to her by a Thai interpreter.
She will be remanded at Changi Women's Prison for a psychiatric assessment, where she will await her next court hearing on Mar 24.
