Teen threatens ex-girlfriend at knifepoint after being dumped; given two years probationAh teenage love. Who hasn't experienced the usual post-breakup knife threat during their younger days?  19-year-old ITE student and sore loser/lover Daniel John Chen Yao Wei was handed a two-year probation sentence for theft and for criminal intimidation by placing a blade on his ex-girlfriend's throat after she broke up with him, The New Paper reports.  At Chen's home at Peakville Grove last year, 17-year-old Noelle Naing dropped the bomb on him by saying that it'll be the last time she'll be seeing him. The dumped Chen flew into a rage and pinned her to the bed by her wrists, choking her and pulling her hair. He then whipped out a multi-purpose tool, pulled out the blade and placed it on her neck.  Naing calmed him down by promising to meet him again, and waited for him to fall asleep before slipping out to Whitley Neighbourhood Police Post to lodge a report.  In an earlier unrelated incident of theft, Chen had stolen items worth over $114 from a Giant Supermarket at Simpang Bedok, including cans of beer and packets of cigarettes.  For commiting criminal intimidation, he could have been jailed for up to two years.
