The Business Times reported that each employee of the biggest bank in Southeast Asia will receive $1,000 in their ang bao packets as part of their celebrations for SG50 and achieving $50 billion in market capitalisation.
A total of $18 million has been put aside for the initiative — $1,000 for each of their 18,000 employees. Only those holding the positions of vice-presidents and below will be eligible for the immensely generous ang pow. Presidents, you probably don't need that paltry $1,000 anyway.
10,000 of the DBS Group Holding's staff in Singapore will be getting that crazy cash money.
