The fire, originating in one of the bedrooms of the ninth floor unit, was quickly put out with a water jet. Two occupants of the flat were conveyed to the National University Hospital for injuries not related to the fire — one elderly woman who fell down while another lady had to be treated for breathlessness.
SCDF is currently conducting investigations into the cause of the fire.
