In a surprising comradely move by North Korea, the communist state's Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Ri Gil Song called on his Singaporean counterpart at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday.
Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Masagos Zulkifli discussed at length with Ri about bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional and international developments. Inevitably, they discussed the tensions simmering in the Korean peninsula and the importance of maintaining peace and stability.
Singapore is one of Ri's several stops in the Southeast Asian region, where he is set to meet with top officials to discuss... things. The North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un on the other hand, is set to make his first official visit abroad in Russia in May.
