It could have turned out pretty differently — a truck suddenly lost control on the expressway when its windscreen was completely covered by mud.
Fortunately, nothing too terrible happened; though it probably delayed the journey of those who needed to catch a flight. Two lanes on the East Coast Parkway (ECP) towards Changi Airport after the Bedok exit was closed yesterday afternoon when mud was spilled on the expressway, Channel NewsAsia reports.
The driver of the mud-transporting truck was forced to brake suddenly when a lorry cut into his lane. Dictated by the laws of physics, the mud flew forward and covered his vehicle and splashed across the road. The truck had to be slowly driven to the side.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force was alerted to the incident at 2.50pm, and a fire engine was deployed to help wash away the mud and debris.
