Not content with selling illegal sex drugs at Geylang's red light district, two peddlers chose to shift their illicit enterprise to a wider market — outside Aljunied MRT station, in broad daylight.
Unsurprisingly, they were immediatly shut down and arrested by the police.
According to The New Paper, police were tipped off by members of the public and quickly apprehended the two men at 9.25am on Sunday. The two Chinese nationals were reportedly hawking about 20 different types of pills, and were referred to the Health Sciences Authority for possessions of illegal sexual enhancement products.
Nearby residents and shop owners speaking to the paper noted an increase in the number of peddlers in the area; which may have been due to recent raids in Geylang, prompting them to sell their products outside their usual spots in the red light district.
If convicted for illegally selling sex drugs, they may be jailed for up to two years and/or fined up to $10,000.
