International tourist arrivals in Singapore fell sharply in November last year According to a report by the Singapore Tourism Board, the number of international visitor arrivals in Singapore fell sharply in November last year. Channel NewsAsia reports that the 8.1 percent drop in visitors from Indonesia largely contributed to the fall in tourist arrivals, although they do account for the largest number of visitors in November.  The number of tourists from China also fell in 2014, mainly due to stricter regulations on tour packages — but also due the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 earlier in March, which had many Chinese passengers onboard.  Indonesia and China remain as the largest contributors to visitor arrivals in Singapore.  Perhaps tourism will get better this year, considering The New York Times and Lonely Planet deemed Singapore as one of the top travel locations in 2015.
