Singapore's Minister for Environment and Water Resources today described the Anandan family as "truly a family of heroes".
In a Facebook post he'd shared from his colleague Mr. K. Shanmugam, Dr. Balakrishnan described top criminal lawyer Mr. Subhas Anandan as "a man of deep convictions, courage and fortitude" and compared him to his brother, who died 14 years ago in an air disaster. "I (also) recall the heroism of his brother, the late Surash Anandan. He stayed on board after the crash of SQ006 to take care of a wheelchair bound passenger - and did not survive the subsequent fire."
