Rising pop darling Charli XCX to make Singapore debut in AprilEvent organisers Secret Sounds Asia are on a a massive roll — after securing the likes of Tycho and alt-J concerts here, they've announced an exciting new addition to their list of shows here — rising pop superstar Charli XCX live at The Coliseum this April. Young English singer-songwriter Charlotte Emma Aitchison started her foray into music during her teenage years, posting songs from her independently recorded debut EP on MySpace and performing in illegal warehouse raves in London. Breaking through the mainstream years later with co-writing credits on Icona Pop's breakthrough hit 'I Love It', a feature on Iggy Azalea's 'Fancy' and contributing the catchy 'Boom Clap' for the soundtrack to The Fault In Our Stars, Charli XCX quickly became a hot prospect in the international pop scene.   Sounding a lot like 80's pop with modern jaunt and polish, Charli XCX fuses diverse influences and inspirations such as Spice Girls, Kate Bush, Lil Wayne and Quentin Tarantino into her music and has already garnered a number of awards and nominations, and even a running for the Grammys this year. Catch the young starlet perform live at The Coliseum on April 22; tickets available on Sistic at $88, $98, and $120 from Jan. 12 onwards. Stay updated on the concert on the Facebook event page.
