19-year-old brothel manager sentenced to probation and community serviceNot many teenagers can boast running an establishment, much less hold a stable job, but for 19-year-old Jaryl Tan Wencong — who helped oversee operations at an illegal brothel — he'll at least have some managerial experience to fall back on.  Tan and another man was arrested last July by Central Narcotics Bureau officers during a raid at a hotel in Geylang. Investigations revealed that he and two other men were placed in charge of managing a brothel located in a condominium in Mount Elizabeth, TODAY reports.  Their roles consisted of delivering food, condoms and lubricants to the rooms where women would perform sexual services, along with managing the prostitutes' earnings and cleaning out the rooms.  The teenager was also accused of receiving women from Thailand for the purpose of prostitution, picking up the women from Changi Airport and bringing them to the Mount Elizabeth brothel.  Tan pleaded guilty to all the charges, and has been sentenced to 18 months probation and 120 hours of community service. The district judge also ordered Tan's mother to pay a bond of $5,000 to ensure his good behaviour.  Photo: Blemished Paradise via Flickr
