With only 19 days to go before Laneway Festival Singapore 2015, event organisers announced a slight change to the lineup that should either be good news or bad, depending on your music preference.
Swedish indie-pop darling Lykke Li has announced that she won't be performing here after all, due to health reasons. "It's been a long time coming, but unfortunately tour life has caught up with me, and it's been recommended that I take a break," she says in a message to her fans here. "I'm devastated, but I know I will return. Thank you for all the support, and I sincerely hope I can make it up to you at a later date".
Taking over her slot in the lineup is eminent English producer Jon Hopkins in a proper live showcase. It's been thought to be a long time coming for Hopkins, who had his performance at The Coliseum cancelled due to the previous iteration of Hostess Club Weekender called off. Fans who weren't satiated with his DJ set at Canvas last November should be delighted to know that Laneway Festival Singapore 2015 will be featuring the electronica musician in all his live downtempo glory under the skies of Gardens By The Bay come Jan. 24.
