Bread Street Kitchen
Hell's Kitchen star Gordon Ramsay was the talk of the town this year, especially when he participated in SingTel's Hawker Heroes challenge (and lost to several of our homegrown chefs). In 2015, he'll be launching his first restaurant here, a Brit-European concept.
Fatty Crab
Fatty Crab, the well-known restaurant brand from the US and Hong Kong, is setting up its first outpost in Singapore. Right now we only know it'll be an izakaya in Chinatown called Neon Pigeon.
Food by David Myers
The award-winning LA chef is set to open his first restaurant in Singapore. According to a release by MBS, the menu at David Myers' Singapore restaurant juxtaposes clean flavours and smoky notes, blending playful bar snacks with raw items, and artisanal toasts with charcoal-grilled treats. It'll even feature a "Nomadic" section "remixing cultural traditions", inspired by Chef's travels.
Healing bread
TCM bakery Dough & Grains has moved out of its Tiong Bahru space so it can expand into more areas in Singapore. Recently announced are their new outlets in Centrepoint Shopping Centre and Chinatown Point. We're sad they've moved out of our neighbourhood, but excited to get more of their cheap and healthy buns, and you should be too.
LOADS of gelato
The Gelato World Tour is coming to Singapore for the first time. It's happening at the Marina Bay Sands in March, and will give you the chance to vote for the next world's best gelato.
New Balzac Brasserie
The well-loved French bistro is moving out of Rendezvous Gallery into a bigger space, which will launch in April.
