Instead of going for a state-sponsored new year's eve party and unwillingly celebrate SG50, head down to BluJaz Cafe for something a lot more ultra-fresh.
Local musical talents across all genres, ages, creed and municipalities will be coming together to take over three whole floors at the bar along Bali Lane to kick off the new year proper, featuring the finest homegrown live acts and DJs.
Expect to be thoroughly impressed with the amount of musical talent on the first floor of BluJaz, where five of Singapore's renowned bands will be performing live, including the likes of singer-songwriter Weish, alt-rock ultimates sub:shaman and Spacedays, indie-pop darlings Pleasantry and rock 'n' roll lads Cashew Chemists.
If you're up for something more dance-inclined, floors two and three of BluJaz will definitely be up your ally, featuring an immensely overwhelming list of DJs and producers spinning an eclectic mix of hip-hop, house, dancehall, trap, and even Bhangra if you're into that kinda thing. Expect the consummate likes of Syndicate's Kiat and Elias Soh, Darker Than Wax's FUNK BSTRD, Rah and many more as they plan to kick the party into full gear from 9pm to 4am this New Year's eve.
Tickets will be available at the door at $20 — stay updated on the Facebook event page.
