A new pink dolphin has joined the pod at Underwater World Singapore (UWS).
The announcement comes a brief few months after the attraction was widely criticised for the way it maintained (or didn't) its animal enclosures, and for allowing sick dolphins, one of whom with skin cancer, to participate in public activities. The Indo-Pacific Humpbacked calf was reportedly born on July 15 to Pann, who'd carried him for 12 months. According to UWS he's about a metre-long and still grey, as pink dolphins only change colour as they get older.
He's still feeding on his mother's dolphin milk, but has apparently shown interest in the fish thrown to him by trainers.
