![Yang Yin will no longer have legal power over widow's multi-million dollar assets]()
It just keeps getting worse for infamous former tour guide Yang Yin, who will soon be stripped of all the legal powers he held over the multi-million dollar assets of Madam Chung Khin Chun.
The Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) have decided to cancel Yang’s legal powers after determining that the 87-year-old Chung possessed the mental capacity to revoke the Lasting Power of Attorney she had given him, TODAY reports.
Chung had applied to the OPG earlier in September to revoke Yang’s Lasting Power of Attorney, but medical examinations on her were needed to determine her sound of mind. She was diagnosed with dementia this year.
Yang was given his legal powers of her assets two years ago, following the formation of a close relationship after meeting in China in 2008.
Chung’s niece Madam Hedy Mok had accused Yang of manipulating her aunt to gain control of her assets, estimated at $40 million. She is seeking damages over the alleged abuse of his powers as Chung’s guardian.
Yang is currently in remand while waiting for the verdict on his 331 charges of falsifying receipts and accounts of his company Young Music and Dance Studio.
