7 arrested in latest series of CNB raids, $118,000 worth of drugs seizedThe Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) seized 1.6 kilograms of heroin and other illegal substances worth over $118,000 while making 7 arrests in their latest series of drug raids over the past few days.  On Nov. 10, CNB officers made their move on the vicinity of Lower Delta Road, raiding the hideout of a suspected drug trafficker at one of the housing blocks in the area, arrested a 41-year-old female Singaporean and uncovering improvised drug-smoking apparatus, empty plastic packets and a digital weighing scale.  In the early hours the next day, CNB officers laid an ambush in the hideout and waited for more suspects to return home. Two other suspected drug traffickers were promptly arrested upon their return, and officers seized a total of 630 grams of heroin and 42 grams of meth packed in small packets, along with Erimin-5 tablets and more than $4,200 in case. Two of their clients were arrested soon after, found with even more drug paraphernalia and packets of heroin. Another drug supplier’s hideout was also raided at the vicinity of Sims Drive, where officers uncovered 970 grams of heroin and arrested a suspected 34-year-old male drug supplier and a suspected 21-year-old female abuser.  The death penalty will be decreed if the individuals have been found trafficking more than 15 grams of pure heroin.  Photo: CNB newsroom
