A local man has come out on video recounting his recent experiences working as a manager at Great World City’s Cold Storage supermarket, where he was verbally abused and bullied by his seven of his colleagues, all of whom are Filipino nationals.
First reported on The Real Singapore, Mohd Bin Japar shared the story of personal injustice during his training stint as a department manager at the Cold Storage outlet.
Apparently he got into a heated dispute with a Filipino cashier, who he claims to have been rude and disrespectful to him. After bringing the matter up to his training manager — who happens to be Filipino as well — Mohd was unpleasantly surprised to find that the manager sided with the cashier.
Things escalated quickly when they spoke to each other in Tagalog and 5 other Filipino staff joined in the fray and started ganging up on Mohd.

The department manager trainee has since reported the incident to the Ministry of Manpower, but not before calling the police in to help dissipate the tense shouting match.
As usual, comments on the story ranged from the xenophobic to anti-PAP, in another robust discussion about the influx of foreigners making Singaporeans feel unwelcome in their own country.
But just to keep things in perspective, there are always two sides to the story — there has to be a legit reason for such a huge altercation to have taken place.
