A reader sent us this photo of the unfortunately named J.E.W. bagel sandwich being sold at a shop in Tanjong Pagar, Singapore.
Obviously bagels are a traditionally Jewish food, having been invented in Krakow, Poland's Yiddish community in 1610 (thanks Wikipedia!), but we think the J.E.W. bagel name is at best moronic.
We doubt they meant any harm, but friendly bagel purveyors of Tanjong Pagar, we humbly recommend you put a bit more thought into your specialty sandwich-naming.
