Police have arrested a 58-year-old man for a series of loanshark harassment cases.
Investigations that followed his arrest in Toa Payoh after a single case was reported to the Jurong Police Division, found him linked to other incidents in Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang, Jurong West and Teck Whye.
He is believed to be a debtor-turned-harasser, who splashed paint on debtors' doors and pasted notes on their wall.
A handphone, two jockey caps, a pen and a roll of masking tape were seized from the man upon arrest.
The suspect will be charged in court today.
Under the Moneylenders Act 2010 (Revised Edition), a first-time offender found guilty of loanshark harassment may face up to five years in jail, a fine no less than $5,000 and three or more strokes of the cane.
