In another effort to make Singapore's jubilee celebrations a significant one — and perhaps another initiative to make Singaporeans produce more children — all babies born in 2015 will receive a special SG50 birth certificate.
According to a Facebook post by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Grace Fu, the commemorative birth certificate will arrive in a golden folder, complete with a special SG50 marking and a message from the Prime Minister.
The special birth certificate will be part of the special SG50 Jubilee Baby gift package, which will also include a special medallion, a multi-functional shawl, a baby sling, a set of baby clothes, a scrapbook for memories, a family photo frame and a baby book — all of which really drive in the fact that the Government wants more Singapore babies to relieve the nation’s ageing population.
A netizen has expressed her enthusiasm by commenting that SG50 babies should also “receive free diapers for 2 years and free baby mile powder”.
