The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will be running a range of military exercises starting Sept. 29, and it's advising the public not to be startled by the loud noises that ensue.
According to The Straits Times, blanks and thunderflashes will be expected at certain areas – namely Ama Keng, Bedok Jetty, Hong Kah, Jalan Bahar, Jalan Kwok Min, Kranji, Lentor, Lim Chu Kang, Mandai, Marsiling, New Tiew, Seletar, Sembawang, Simpang, Tuas, Upper Jurong – from 8am on Sept. 29 to 8am on Oct. 6.
Live firing exercises will be held at Pasir Laba (Safti) during the same period.
The army encourages the public to stay clear of these areas.
