Yesterday, police captured a 26-year-old man involved in a case of snatch theft along Chua Chu Kang Drive on Sept. 16.
A police report stated that the female victim was walking along the road when the man approached her from behind and snatched her handphone. Officers later tracked down the suspect and arrested him at Dover Road.
For using criminal force to commit theft, the suspect may face a punishment of caning and up to seven years in prison.
