The mentally unsound woman who created an outrage last month by defecating in full view of passersby at Holland Village MRT station has been issued a stern warning by the National Environment Agency (NEA).
The NEA has decided to only reprimand her in view of her mental condition, according to various media reports. She was found to be intellectually disabled and has long struggled with schizophrenia.
The Environmental Public Health Act states that is an offense to urinate or defecate in or upon any “street, arcade, vacant land, river, canal, ditch, drain or watercourse” or “any place to which the public has access” and offenders can be fined up to $1,000.
Just two days ago, another public pooper was spotted doing his business near a crowded bus stop at Jurong East.
