British 'Vogue' names Tiong Bahru one of world's hippest neighbourhoodsThe British Vogue has named a couple of neighbourhoods from around the world one can find and sport the new street style, which fancies ultra-chic (and realistic) basics over "look-at-me" clothing.  And one of the "globe's hippest neighbourhoods"— according to the book regarded everywhere as the fashion bible — is Singapore's very own Tiong Bahru.  Ranked no. 4 on the list, the neighbourhood is described as the "artisanal, coffee shop-filled foil to Singapore's endless skyscraper sparkle", where one can find "low-profile Art Deco-style buildings" housing eclectic boutiques. Shipping container spa Nimble/Knead also gets a shout-out.  Other neighbourhoods on the list from top: Shimokitazawa (Tokyo), West Queen West (Toronto), Södermalm (Stockholm), Centro (Sao Paolo), Canal Saint-Martin (Paris), Bushwick (New York City), Brera (Milan), Wynwood (Miami), Zona Rosa & La Condesa (Mexico City), Fitzroy (Melbourne), Silver Lake (Los Angeles), Hackney (London), Kreuzberg (Berlin), Dashanzi Art District (Beijing).
