A total of 409 suspects – 78 males and 331 females – were arrested during several anti-crime operations held from Aug. 30 – Sept. 6.
The series led by Central Police Division included enforcement checks at entertainment outlets and massage parlours. Raids were also conducted at four illegal gambling dens, as well as hotels and private apartments where two online unlawful groups were operating.
All of the apprehended suspects are aged between 15 – 82 years old. Their arrests were due to acts such as illegal employment, loanshark-related businesses, soliciting in the public and illegal gambling activities.
