Gillman Barracks is celebrating two years of success with an outdoor festival on Sept. 26.
Previously a military camp and subsequently a commercial area, the site along Lock Road was re-developed into a contemporary arts centre and relaunched in 2012. Today, it plays a major part in the burgeoning local arts scene, playing host to a number of public and commercial galleries as well as art festivals such as the Singapore Biennale.
On top of existing exhibitions across the 17 renowned international galleries, Gillman Barracks' second anniversary celebrations will feature outdoor installations and interactive art around the venue, while local music outfits .gif, Take Two, The Lost Hat and ANECHOIS are set to perform live.
The event will also see a specially curated pop-up market by popular online retailer The Local People featuring stores selling handmade crafts and more. An assortment of food and beverage offerings, including signature food and cocktails supported by Elite Bar Solutions and Reyka Vodka, will be made available.
Admission is free; keep yourself updated on their Facebook Event Page.
