Singapore International Festival of Arts reveals full line-up for 2014Previously known as the Singapore Arts Festival, the Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) kicks off June 21 and runs though Sept. 21 across venues like 72-13, the Drama Centre, the Victoria Theatre and School of the Arts. One of the festival's highlights include "Facing Goya". Composed by award-winning British composer Michael Nyman and directed by Cultural Medallion honouree Ong Keng Sen in collaboration with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, it tells the tale of a woman's amorous search for Goya's skull, and her vision to clone and harvest the Spanish painter's creative genius.  Another one is Sambaso (pictured above), a visually stunning performance that reenacts the Shinto harvest ritual set against a backdrop designed by photographer and visual artist Hiroshi Sugimoto. Fans of the children's classic Peter Pan shouldn't miss the fantastical theatre remake by Robert Wilson and the Berliner Ensemble —recently premiered in Berlin and Paris, the production will be showing for the first time in Asia.  For the festival's full lineup, visit the SIFA 2014 website. Tickets are now on sale at Sistic and range from $10-120. Photo: Sistic
