According to a recent survey Global Professionals on the Move published by London-based global recruitment agency Hydrogen, Singapore tops the list in Asia as the preferred destination for professionals looking to work overseas. Coming in at seventh place overall, our little city-state outranks other metropolitan cities in the region including Hong Kong (11th) and China (12th).

The survey was conducted via online interviews with 2,444 individuals from up to a 100 countries, and over a wide range of industries. "The findings of this report, which track five years of global workforce patterns, show that we now have a worldwide talent pool to draw candidates from," said Denise McAnulty, Hydrogen Group COO, who established the US headquarters in Houston in 2013.
In the survey's fifth edition, it recognises the shift of economic power from West to East and pays special attention on Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS). Be that as it may, the report summarises that the majority of professionals willing to move still prefer working in English-speaking countries of the US, the UK, Australia, Canada and Singapore.
