Costa Sands Resort (Downtown East) in Pasir Ris will close on July 20.
According to a Channel NewsAsia report, operator NTUC Club has revealed tthat the land lease for the 163-room resort expires in August.
Instead of renewing it, NTUC Club plans to focus its resources on redeveloping the recreation area, in particular the new resort slated to open next year.
The resort is expected to house 387 rooms, and will be accompanied by an expanded Wild Wild Wet water park and more dining, entertainment and retail options.
