Manchester United stalwart Rio Ferdinand was greeted by a horde of fans when he arrived in Singapore yesterday (watch video below).
The 35-year-old centerback will be joined by Manchester rival Sergio Aguero for SingTel’s promotional event ‘Game On!’ where the two will take selfies while learning how to speak Singlish, practice Tai Chi, taste local hawker food and showcase their football skills.
Ferdinand is expected to discuss his next move in a media conference on Thursday, after announcing that he will not renew his contract with the Red Devils when it expires in June.
Signed from Leeds for a record 30 million pounds ($63 million), the veteran defender’s 12-year United career saw him winning six Premier League titles, a Champion’s League trophy and two League cups.
