A Malaysian man was caught trying to smuggle in 1.48kg of heroin with a street value of $155,000 at the Woodlands Checkpoint on Monday.
During a routine inspection, Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers found three black bundles suspected to be controlled drugs in the left and right cavities under the suspect's motorcycle seat.
The man and exhibits were handed over to the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officer for further investigation.
It is estimated that the amount of heroin seized can sustain 705 abusers for a whole week.
