On December 29, Punggol Point Light Rapid Transit (LRT) station will open, adding to the west loop route that includes Sam Kee, Soo Teck, Sumang, Nibong and the yet-to-be-opened Samudera and Teck Lee. This new station, which is a 20-minute walk from The Punggol Settlement, will make Coney Island and its surrounding food and recreation areas more accessible for visitors. Currently, to get to The Punggol Settlement from Punggol LRT takes about 30 minutes by bus.
And if you're worried about operating hours or train services being affected by the station's opening, SBS Transit stated that they will run as usual.
