Friendship goes both ways. For this Singaporean mum, who noticed a group of contractors working in her neighbourhood, it didn't take long for her to smile at them and start off the conversation with a simple greeting.
Fast forward to more than a year later — she now knows all the migrant workers by name and her family has struck up a sweet friendship with them. Through the months, they've started cheekily calling her 'aunty' and good-naturedly teasing her kids on their way to school. Now that they're moving on to another project elsewhere, she admits they'll be missed by her family.
