Students, have you heard the news? Looks like all who are still schooling — from primary school to junior college — will have daily cleaning activities in classrooms, canteens and corridors when school term starts in January 2017.
Schools will decide for themselves on the details of these cleaning activities, which are being implemented to help students develop good habits. This update from the Ministry of Education comes after its announcement earlier this year about making daily cleaning compulsory in schools by the end of the year.
Several schools have already started, and some are even carrying out cleanliness checks, with classes scoring points in regards to the cleanliness of areas like the floor, trash bin, furniture, white board and notice board. And if they impress, they'll be commended at the end of each term.
